Admission got revoke, missed the deadline to write an appeal, Advice?

My son's senior year, he took a class at an CC. He passed all this classes but failed the one at CC. He didn't send in his transcript from the CC so UCSC revoke his admission. He missed the deadline to write an appeal and they are no longer willing to look at his appeal.

I'm not sure what to do. Does any one have any advice?

I'm thinking he can just take a gap year and re-take his class he failed + work, then apply for colleges again in November. But I don't know if that is possible.

I would appreciate it if anyone can offer advice on what my son can do.

Thanks!

If your family needs financial aid, he should consider taking a gap year and working. Many colleges offer the best financial aid to freshmen, but students who take any college classes after high school are usually considered transfers, and transfers don’t get much aid. So he’s probably better off not taking community college classes. It sounds like your son was revoked because you didn’t supply his entire record to the college. There’s a clearing house where the college can find all his records, so make sure to include his transcripts in his next round of applications. Good luck.

I assume you are in-state for CA since you mention UCSC. Going from a CCC to a UC is a great way to start immediately, if there are slots available.
