What do the British Universities look at while giving admissions, scores, extra curricular, what?
Also, I’m looking at the University of Bristol, and Aerospace Engineering. My achievements are below, what do you my chances are?
I got 1860 in my first attempt of SAT, will give again to get 2000+
I’ve participated in 20+ Model UNs and Debates, and won most. I’m the president of the Model UN Society of my school, have chaired conferences, have been the Secretary General of my school’s conference.
I am in the Student Council of my school, in the capacity of General Secretary, second in command after the Head Boy.
I have been doing community service and have 50+ hours, and still counting.
I have participated in many science exhibitions and competitions, and won most.
Apart from that, I have taken part in many international competitions, including UN ones.
If you can recommend any other university as well, i’ll be really thankful.
Guessing the OP is from India, in which case Aerospace at Bristol will require a minimum average of 90%, including maths and physics. Good news is that if you have 75-80% on your Grade 12 English you don’t need IELTS.
OP, none of your ECs are relevant to Aerospace / Engineering, so they won’t factor in to your application. It will be your marks, your Personal Statement and your Rec.
Marks + Personal Statement + Recommendation. Personal statement is where you demonstrate why aerospace engineering for you (that can include relevant ECs, if there is such a thing).
Ability to pay is what they want from international students! You subsidise the home students. So if you get the grades (or even a bit below) and have the cash it’s very likely you’ll be in.
