Hi all. I’m a prospective student from NY who is going to California this summer to look at colleges (UCLA, USC, UCSD, UCSB, LMU, Santa Clara). USC is my number one choice. I was planning on doing an admissions interview this summer. What should I expect and how helpful is it to my application?
Hey! I’m from LA, and as far as I know, USC does not start doing admissions interviews until around August. Sign ups will be out in July, and can be found on the USC Admissions Website. I interviewed at the end of the August, and I made it a point to sit in on a few classes while there. It made the experience a lot more insightful for me, and I got to write about the classes in my application before getting accepted. If you’re going with your parents, I’d also suggest allotting some time for you to explore/sit in on classes alone, as it’s your opinion on the campus that matters most.
Exactly right ^^^.
