I’m currently in class 11 in India, and my half yearly exams got over just a month ago. I am planning to go to UK for my undergrad right after completing my 12th class with no gap year in between. As of now I have short listed UCL and LSE as potential match schools with university of Warwick and Durham being hopeful safety schools. But regardless I still wish to aim for oxford. I have a subject combination of English, political science, economics, psychology, sociology and maths. I have 95% in psychology and 90% in political science with an 82% in economics. I wish to further improve my scores in economics and maths by the final term exams of this year and remain consistent in 12th as well. Courses I’m torn between to apply for are Philosophy politics and economics, and economics and management, but my main interest is economics and I’m aware that econ and management at oxford is one of the most oversubscribed courses and my credentials are perhaps more suited for PPE. I plan on taking the TSA next year at around November and hope to score well, my only worry is that considering the application for oxford is done by October 15 and the test is in November, so do the scores go directly to oxford or was I apparently supposed to take the test this year in 11th grade. I also plan on reading the necessary reading material prescribed for the courses to be able to write a decent academic statement with a small line or two for extracurriculars like model UN or perhaps a summer school program. The most dread I have for is the interview, for which I depend entirely on your advice. In a nutshell could someone tell me what should be a good predicted score, how would a good reference sound like and how should I alter my already planned way of going with the admission process to qualify as a competitive applicant in the eyes of the admission officer. If I do indeed get shortlisted for an interview I could use some tips on that round as well.
Hi. CC is mainly for US admissions. For UK, you can go to student room. As for TSA, you should apply next year. In addition to the boards, strong candidates also have AP scores and SAT’s, so look into that too. The personal statement does not have much to do for Oxford as long as it conveys your past achievements, any special circumstances and your intention to attend. Also, look into which college you wish to attend. Applying for a smaller college like Pembroke and Somerville has a greater chance of admission as compared to more famous ones like Magdalen and Oriel. Economics is an oversubscribed major, so try to create a really good profile. Best of Luck. 
A good predicted score would be above 95% in CBSE. State Boards not accepted. You need to get short listed for the interview first, but any more than that, I cannot help as I didn’t get into the interview. Was rejected before that for Computer Science.
