^ Right. They are admitting 7600 with the expectation that about 2600 will end up enrolling.

What I loved about this is that they meet 100% of demonstrated financial need as per EFC. As long as my fafsa and all was in time, the extra documents they requested BECAUSE of my Fafsa status (one parent unemployed, also is my stepfather, etc) still count as being on time correct? This is really good news for me as my EFC was 13k, and someone nearby me who's EFC was like 17k got around 40k from USC so here's hoping :).

21% admit rate, 35% expected yield. Anyone knows how that compares to other years and/or schools?

wow, so there are 5000 people who'd get a "yes" then not go? Give your slot to meeeeeee

Got an answer to my own question, here is the national yield data:
http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/yield_natudoc_brief.php

USC seems to expect a slight bump in yield, and is generally in line with outer mid-tier private schools. Is anyone other than me shocked at how low CMU's yield is? I guess nobody wants to go study at a top-notch school in Pittsburgh.

i'm here on the east coast. assuming i was accepted, how long would i have to wait? is saturday a possibility?

thesmiths: I'm assuming Monday since priority mail takes 2 days.....

Also, CMU's student body population is off-the-charts in terms of nerdyness. It's incredible.

I hope to expect something in the mail tomorrow if I'm lucky and more likely, Monday; good-luck everyone!

Well I was just rejected from BU, so I'm sure I have been rejected by USC.

Still, good luck to everyone!
