admission notification

Are the letters saying “delayed” as in they haven’t been reviewed yet or deferred?

My S received his acceptance letter today. Regular & Honors application submitted on 11/15. Electrical Engineering.

Hey Sal congrats! Was that an honors acceptance already or regular?

General admission decisions for all students who applied EA or for honors will come out this week. Honors applicants will hear about general admission, HC admission notifications will be December - February. Read the admissions blog for lots of answers to common questions here. http://uofscadmissions.■■■■■■■■■■/

MTMamma, note the following from the blog “Many students who are delayed until the March notification are ultimately admitted. If you are delayed, you are welcome to submit updated test scores by February 1. Please do not send unsolicited information like recommendations, resumes or portfolios. We will not add them to your file”

Thank you @Benno2016 It was for regular. They don’t send out the others until later on, end of December thru March. Keeping our fingers crossed!

@MTMommaJAA you said you’re from MD…would you happen to mind sharing what your sons GPA and Scores were? I’m just trying to figure out if I am going to get deferred as well…I’m also from MD, what school does your son go to?!

@sbanana6789 Marriotts Ridge High School in Howard County. His GPA and scores were not great: 3.57 weighted, 1140 (Math/Reading SAT), 24 ACT.

Also delayed. NC, 3.4 GPA, 1150 SAT (Math/Critical Reading)

I turned in my HC app 11/8 and received acceptance to regular college 11/20. OOS 33 ACT 4.75 GPA. Hoping for HC acceptance soon and McNair interview weekend invitation eventually

Still waiting…in-state. I hate that I receive my mail so much later than everyone else.

HELP I still haven’t received anything in the mail. Should I call or email them? I read on their website that this was the last week they send out EA acceptances. I applied for the Honors college so I submitted my application in early November.

@student9988 i also have not heard back yet. Don’t worry I’m sure they’re slow coming in the mail.

received my acceptance via snail mail a few days ago! OOS (va), 4.05 w gpa, 30 ACT (32 super score)

I am getting worried because I still haven’t gotten anything (4.0/5.06 GPA, 2080 SAT, top 3%). Should I ask them this week at some point if I still don’t hear back?

@student9988 I would wait until January if you don’t get anything this week since Christmas is Friday. I haven’t heard either and I’m in-state. If you applied for the honors college then that may be what is taking so long though I’m sure they’ve mailed all early decisions. Mailed items are unpredictable.

For those delayed, it sounds like the early round is mainly stat based, with ECs and personal statements not considered much until RD. I was delayed (OOS 3.4 W GPA/1150 SAT CR+M) but accepted at Elon with a scholarship.

Hope this helps provides some insight.

Still haven’t gotten my official letter but I got an email saying that I got in. Guess I’m wait for the mail to find out about honors

Got my acceptance letter yesterday, admitted OOS with in-state tuition and a scholarship (but they don’t say which one yet?) Very happy! and thank you @Chopinspiano for having me be patient, I thought it would never come!

Letter dated 12/11 got it today. I have no idea why SC mail takes so long for me (in-state btw).
