I applied EA and the wedsite says i will know by Feb 15, but the website didn't say the earliest we will know. I sent my application in on Nov 1, with the rest of my EA common app schools, so i was curious as to how soon i will know.

I just checked my mailbox and D got the big envelope from DePauw, she was accepted! She applied EA and had her application in before November. I was told that many decisions would go out before the New Years.

We live out of region so maybe they wanted to send those out first. Good luck!

if i sent in on 1st december, do you know how approximately soon i will know?

well since that was the deadline and feb 15 is the latest i would say sometime in feb, maybe earlier. congrats on your daughter getting in, i will have to watch the mail for it, thanks!

Congrats BobbyCt!!

Just got in!!! Received the letter, I’m soooooooooooo excited!!

congrats! when did u submit your app?

I don’t remember exactly when. But, I submitted my app between the 15th and 20th of november.

Congrats cheese!!!

I got accepted too…submitted my apps Oct 28 and received decision Jan 7 morning. But need to pay around 13k…my parents can’t afford so much…which is a pain in the a** so…lets see…But that decision letter comes along as a great relief. Atleast I have some safety that I can fall back on.

i’m dead.
Depauw says I must submit my Toefl.
I’m an international student but I did not take toefl because I have completed my secondary education in a English-medium school. (exactly what Depauw website states)
I emailed to ask them, they said the toefl waiver was case by case basis. I guess they looked at my SATs (CR 580) so they kinda noticed my weakness…
what should I do now? I really don’t want to take toefl because I don’t have time and I never prepare for it… also the fee is very expensive 140USD (much more expensive than SAT)
arrrrr…

i also applied for EA.
and the email says that the committee is making a decision on my application. we need you to submit your TOEFL score.

Or is it like they’re gonna accept me so they need my toefl to confirm? :D

sighhhh… i’m so screwed…

You should have taken TOEFL way before considering your a low on CR. By the way TOEFL is much easier and I recommend you give it. If money is the problem then well, GOD save you! (You could explain the situation to them via email tho!). Best of luck! anyways!

my notification has not come out yet… ;( why? ;s

the thing is I never knew that some schools would require Toefl
I applied to other top colleges and they readily waived Toefl for me…
I alr wrote to Depauw to ask for waiver but they haven’t replied me yet.

Daughter received letter of acceptance today-very excited!

DePauw acceptance came in the mail today for my son. He’s very happy. Anyone else planning on attending admitted student day on 2/13/10?

Weather permitting, we will be there.

^ RBC77, congratulations to you and D!

Thank you!
