Does anyone know around what time they usually let applicants know about admission decisions? I applied and they only told me I would be notified by April 1, which would be very (annoyingly) late. Do they send all notifications on the same day, like some other schools do?

My S just received on March 6 (looked like a group email) am email saying to verify his contact information and update if necessary. It then said, “Admission decisions will be sent via e-mail on or before April 1.” He applied about mid-December and we are from the San Francisco Bay Area.

My S did too. Having done a little research here, last year Pepperdine emailed decisons on Friday, March 15. In years before, they usually emailed on a Friday around the 15th (probably to avoid a deluge of calls). My thought is that best-case scenario, they will email decisions tomorrow - Friday the 7th. They probably have the majority of the applicants’ emails correct and it doesn’t take anyone more than a minute to verify their information and any updates are automatic in the Pepperdine database. So… maybe tomorrow??? :)

I also just got that message. Man, I hope not tomorrow. I know a lot of people are waiting anxiously for it, but I’m not sure I’m quite prepared for that. Pepperdine is now the last school to send me an admissions decision, and I am really worried I’ll get rejected. It’ll be okay. Maybe something wonderful will happen. Maybe I’ll get lucky and get hit by the school bus tomorrow.

Got that email today too…Praying that I get in!

My S has many options (although merit money will have to play into the final decision). Pepperdine, though, in his top 2 since he did not make ED Claremont McKenna, so a long wait as this is almost his last school to report in (besides a couple of deferred I don’t think he’ll get into).

Pepperdine and USC are my final colleges to receive letters from. Stanford is the only one that has rejected me thus far. San Francisco State, San Jose State (not going there), Arizona State (offered me $52,000 scholarship), and University of Nevada-Reno (offered me $10,000 scholarship) have all accepted me. Really want to get into either USC or Pepperdine (both have really good sports broadcasting journalism programs). Got that same e-mail from Pepperdine. I read somewhere that the decisions will be sent not today, but next Friday. The sooner, the better. Oh well, more scholarships must get done in the meantime because both colleges are about $250,000 for four years…

thesportsman24-good you’re not doing San Jose State. Have a relative who teaches there and VERY difficult to get your classes and very frequently you end up with 5 or 6 years in school. I don’t know much about Arizona State, but that is a lot of money. Similar situation for my son for Hofstra on Long Island, but we hate for him to be so far (we live in the SF Bay Area). California schools very difficult to get much of any merit money and the tuition, etc. very high. Hard decisions. Good luck, and thanks for the info.

I got an email about verifying my contact information as well. I think that decisions will be sent out next Friday based off of previous years.

According to a big list i saw, decisions will be sent out this Saturday, March 15th!

Son just accepted!! 4:15 PST! :)

I just received an e-mail. Accepted! (:

Son accepted via email Fri March 14 4:30pm DST.

I was waitlisted. Can someone tell me my chances of getting off the waitlist? I’m guessing it’s slim?

I got waitlisted. I really hope they can accept me.

I haven’t received an email yet… is anyone waiting for an email too?
