Admission only: REA Stanford Vs Columbia ED

For a Canadian residing in the Middle East and capable of full pay for the four years, where do I have a good chance of admission:

REA Stanford (need aware for Canadians) or

ED Columbia (need-blind for Canadians)

Let us for now assume that I have the required admission credentials -Rigor, Rank, GPA, SAT, SAT2's, EC's and a 'passionate' essay. Also, I do not need FA.

@PrincetonDreams: Can you PM your contact info… :)

You can PM me now. :)

Thanks PD. I will PM soon.

Is Stanford ‘need blind’???

This is written in their Admission page.
“Students are admitted on a need-blind basis, and the university ensures that no admitted student is unable to attend.”
Is this for international applicants too?

^ Even though I did not apply to Stanford, I can assure you that they are not need-blind towards international applicants, Canadians included.

Thanks mathematicism :)

@Princeton Dreams: Thanks for your PM advice on choice of major.
I’ll PM you when my essay is ready. Btw, your PM box is full

If you don’t need financial aid just apply to which ever school appeals to you more.

i think you have a better chance at columbia.
But someone please answer this. Where, stanford or columbia, will an international student be offered more financial aid if accepted?
anyone please offer any comments
