When do we receive our admission packages and what does it look like? I heard the UChicago one is really pretty. Does NU's match up? :)

its a big white envelope with congratulations northwestern on it. inside are the acceptance letter, this big booklet What's Next with all you need to know to enroll and some finaid help. also included is your finaid offer and a preview NU sheet. im actually looking at it right now in my bedroom. all in purple of course. i was kinda dissapointed that there werent many pictures. o yea the tuition deposit and graduation form. cant forget those! hope this increases your anticipation

No, but thanks.

i haven't gotten my acceptance packet yet..ugh..any chance they messed up?

i live in austin, tx

i live in san antonio and i got mine on monday..maybe you should call and ask them or something.

Haha, ChenChen, sorry to disappoint you, but it's not the prettiest thing in the world. Judging from UChicago's mail they've been sending the past couple of years, I'd venture to say that their acceptance packets are at least a bit more attractive.

lol just received mine
NU's package is pretty simple and useful but not that beautiful compared to other college packages I received

No acceptance stuff received here in NY yet either as of Wed 4/4.

I'm international.. living halfway across the globe (literally) and received mine 2 days ago. Perhaps you guys could give them a call?

finally got mine today, but it was mailed on 4/2
i didnt think the package was too bad; it just has all the neccessary info to enroll

i just received my admissions/fin. aid package from northwestern. they said that i had been chosen to be a founders scholar (a new program at northwestern). from the letter it sounded like a merit scholarship ($30,000 over four years), not based on financial elegibility. it mentioned that the 50 chosen scholars would be helped with fellowships etc. has anyone else received it, or know anything about it?

I just called admissions (after being on hold for 10 minutes) and after asking for an admission counselor (another 10 minutes) was told that if we did not receive the package soon, to call them again. For $50,000, I am finding this rather absurd. Wash U. sent theirs UPS and we have had constant contact from them. If I did not know that this was such a great school, I would be questioning how organized they were in general. We are driving up tomorrow to see NU since my son never visited. I gather they are flocked with juniors looking at the school and are not very involved with the ones they accepted.

^ sarahc - I got the Founders Scholarship too, and I'm wondering the same things. I'm also kind of confused, because I know that if you get outside scholarships (i.e. National Merit), they'll subtract from your need-based aid because I guess those are considered part of your assets. But the paper says the Founders Scholarships are fixed, and I'm not getting any need-based aid beyond that. So would my National Merit Scholarship not count?

Out of curiosity, what college are you two in?

McCormick.

Weinberg (10 characters).

huh .

Still nothing! I am starting to get ****ed...
