Admission Packet Received!

Just got 'the big envelope' in the mail! Woo Hoo! (in Northern California pretty much next door to SCU). D had late start so was here when it arrived. Nice letter, 'SCU loves me' poster to post on facebook, and brochure. Letter says an email will arrive when merit and financial aid is posted online. Good luck to everyone!

What major and stats? Scu is about my last non safety school that I havent gotten denied to (except UCSC). Im near san Mateo so hopefully I gwt my letter soon

Just checked and the ecampus is updated with a Congratulations message also. No financial aid info though.
Arts & Sciences - Environmental Studies, ACT 33, UW GPA 3.95, W GPA 4.1. So, good stats, recs, and EC’s, but only 2 honors and 1 AP (two of them this year).

We live in the East Bay of San Francisco (so about 45 minutes from SCU) and nothing in today’s mail for us. Edit: just checked portal 12:30pm (California) and son wait listed. He was deferred from EA to RA. At that time, he was asked to consider A&S since their business school was impacted. He agreed to that. Guess that did not help. Stats: 3.7 unweighted, 1920 SAT, high-level leadership and EC’s (with continuity and promotions).

Accepted, found out via email. Can’t see any money info. Arts and Sciences-Chemistry ACT32 UWGPA 4.0 WGPA 4.22 Good recs, tons of volunteering 3 APs with 5s

Anyone know when scholarships will be announced (not eligible for aid, but hoping for merit scholarship).

Son was accepted to Santa Clara (Engineering) and he found out via email and access to ecampus. Here are his stats: SAT: 2210, UW GPA: 3.78, ECs: Eagle Scout, Air Riflery, Golf (JV only), Band and some non-leadership ECs. It is his top choice (still waiting for USC). No financial aid yet. Good luck everyone!

Accepted, found out via email. I can’t see my financial aid package as well. Arts and Sciences. ACT 26, UWGPA 3.67, W GPA 4.5, SAT 1790. Lost of AP/ EC’s/ Volunteering/ Band/ Good recs. Congrats everyone!

Merit scholarship information is in the decision letter online if you click “View your letters here”

Hmmm daughter’s letter says that merit info will be on ecampus a little later. Letter doesn’t mention anything- this may means Santa Clara is out of contention. Surprised my daughter didn’t get into the Johnson Scholars program either. Must be a pretty high applicant pool at the top.

My son was accepted for School of Engineering today. The acceptance letter states that financial aid notifications will be available in eCampus shortly. ACT 31, GPA 3.85 WGPA 4.2 8APs. Also accepted at USD with 1/4 merit scholarship.

Accepted to Leavey School of Business.
29 ACT
3.8 UW GPA 4.2 W
11 APs
Also received the Trustee Scholarship at USD.

@mdude4 Did you mean under View/Print Award letter? If so, he must not have got anything. His says No Award Letters Found. Hope that isn’t true.

@collegesearch96 what letter said the info about merit coming later? We haven’t received a hard copy letter, just a brief email so far. I would have thought a 34 ACT, strong gpa and tons of hard classes and extra curricular would have warranted something, but maybe not.

If you sign on to eCampus and click “View Letter” you’ll see the official letter of your acceptance. It will tell you that the awards will soon be available on eCampus and they’ll notify by email. I don’t think anyone has gotten any word on merit or financial aid. I wouldn’t stress it.

THANK YOU! I didn’t see that View Letter, just the View Award letter. I feel better  More waiting.

Daughter accepted via email. OOS, 2020 SAT, 4.0 uw, tons of EC’s. Congrats to all who have been accepted and hoping the best for everyone who is still waiting to hear.

Our son got word on merit, but nothing about need-based. Info on merit was in the decision letter, not under financial aid on the portal. Yes, you can find the decision letter on the very poorly designed portal if you look hard enough. Look for View Your Letters Here at bottom of the lefthand column.

Was your son in this last RD batch? Our Decision letter says merit aid will be posted online shortly and they will email when it is up.

^^^ Our son’s letter is dated March 17 and awards him a half-tuition Provost Scholarship.
