hey, i was just curious if anyone knows the number of students and the percentage accepted this year out of the 26,600 applicant pool. thanks.

i heard that it dropped to 29% but i don't have any real proof of that.

I believe that BC's yield is traditionally around 30% but heard that they were very careful this year not to over enroll so they probably expected yield in the low 30s (say 33%). If so, they would have admitted ~6,820 students in order to fill ~2,250 spots. 6,820/26,600 = ~25.6% admit rate. Not exact but probably pretty close to what it actually was.

I just found the data for 2004. Hope this helps,

There were 22,451 application. Of those, 7,178 were accepted (32%) and 2,309 enrolled (32% yield). So, if you expect a yield of 32% (no change) and assuming that they are looking for a slightly smaller class (2,250 students) then they would admit 7,031 out of the 26,600 application resulting in an admit rate of 26.4%. This should be more accurate than what I provided in my last post.

hey thanks.
