Any last minute tweaks to make myself better for applications in the fall?

Thanks!!

Very good chances at Cornell, WUSTL , U of M., and U Penn non-wharton

Harvard is possible, but still a reach, same with Upenn wharton

Any way to increase my chances at Harvard?

I assume you are interested in science/pre-med judging by your EC’s and subject tests. In which case, pursue this interest as much as you can over the summer so that when it comes time to write essays, you can show this. This will increase your chances at Harvard… doing a science/pre-med type internship will also look good.

How can I get a science internship? It’s almost impossible to get anything at a hospital unless you have direct connections :/

Based off of your PSAT score, you are a National Merit Semi-Finalist, are you not?

I have a good chance, but I won’t know for sure until Fall.

^It was just an idea. If you can’t get that, then try and do something purposeful that indicates your interest in science.

I think you definitely will be considering I think the highest cut-off for any state was 221 last year.

know that cornell only looks at math and reading. so what are your combined scores on those two sections?

My highest combined math + reading occurred not with my 2180 score, but a lower score.

1460 combined math + reading. Is that decent?

^Yes, it is about what the average accepted person has.

Your stats look good enough for all but Harvard, but make sure your essays show your “fit.” Talk about why you belong to the school and write good essays. Good luck

could someone chance me for Cornell? (i know that i don’t have much of a chance at the other Ivies so i won’t bother asking)

my superscore is 2310
my unweighted cumulative GPA is 3.78
i do two varsity sports
i am in two charity groups

what are my chances, and is there anything that i can do to up my chances of being accepted?

BUMP please

Mickjagger, you didn’t provide enough information. By the looks of it so far, your GPA is a bit low and your SAT is higher than average (by quite a lot).

do you think that my above average SAT could “outweigh” my lower GPA? also, i’m in private school, which means that it’s tougher to achieve good grades. would that make a difference?

Your ECs are a bit lacking, not really much there academically. But I’m just assuming this since you haven’t provided any specifics: name of organization, hours spent, awards won, etc.
