Admission Question

I'm applying Early Action to the Georgetown College, FLL.

I took the SAT I's twice, once in May and the second time in June. I read that Georgetown requires three SAT II's so I was forced to sign up for the October 14th SAT II's and was planning on taking three. But, I am not prepared at all so I went to the Georgetown website and found something interesting but I am confused.

**I haven’t taken the SAT II’s yet. Can I still apply Early Action?

Absolutely. If you are a senior and have not yet taken three SAT II exams you may still apply Early Action and your application will receive full consideration. We do recommend that you register for these exams in the event that your application is deferred to Regular Decision.

Please note that the Early Action review is based on information from freshman, sophomore and junior years, so it is not necessary to rush fall subject test scores. Fall scores will be added to an applicant’s file if the student is deferred to the regular review. The application and all supporting credentials must be postmarked by November 1.

--Does this mean that I do not have to take the SAT II's and if I do get deferred then I would be forced to take them? Can I just take two SAT II's this Saturday and send them in and then if I get rejected take a third one?

Can someone please explain this to me, thanks

I would assume you are correct. I am applying EA with 3 SAT II scores, but a girl from my school is applying EA and not taking SAT IIs till Nov/Dec. If your scores are going to be good, go ahead and take and send the two. The decision should be made based on projected SAT II scores and the likelihood that you will actually need them to get in. Good luck.

Yes, you can do this. That is exactly what I'm doing.
