I selected both International Business and the PharmD Program as my major choices. However, as of right now, I am not sure which route I want to go. Will I receive a decision on both of the programs? Otherwise, I do not know which to put 1st and which to put 2nd. I do not think I will get into both programs as they are two of the most competitive Northeastern has, althought I might. Do you have any suggestions??

You don't get accepted to both, you only get accepted to one. Both are, as you said, very competitive. Those are also very different programs, and both are very tough course loads. People drop out of Internation B like flies, and I'm sure it happens in PharmD as well.

The problem is that these are programs with VERY different courses, they're in completely different schools (neither of which is CAS), and they're both tough majors. Because of this, it means that if you get in, HATE it, and wish you'd gone the other route, it's going to be difficult to transfer. I can't tell you what to do because I have no idea where you'll get in/which you'll do well in/which you'll actually enjoy. But keep in mind that these are very tough programs that have very unique course requirements.

My son is a freshman in the PharmD program. Last year when we were looking at the school, I had asked the admissions rep a similar question. He wanted PharmD, but was putting Chem Engineering as a second choice. So I asked, say he didn't get his first choice, could be wait listed for Pharm D and offered Chem E. They said no, he would be offered one only, or waitlisted to the school entirely.

I know they said that there are no transfers into the PharmD program. So if you are interested in PharmD you will need to get in right away. Good luck. You will love Northeastern.

thank you both for the help. I just hope I get into the program, whichever one I choose. I will leave my stats, can you guys tell me what you think?
