Admission questions

I just have a few questions, hopefully you guys can help me out.
1. Is it easier to apply for fall or summer b?
2. Are majors considered in your application? I'm worried that if I select nursing as my major that I won't be able to compete with others with superior test scores.
I have an 1880 SAT and uf gpa of 4.3. 800 volunteer hours.

Per UF, all applications are evaluated together as one entering class, so whether you apply for Summer or Fall doesn’t matter. People will have opinions as to whether it makes a difference, but UF says it doesn’t.

Majors don’t matter in admissions. Many people change their major at Preview and many times after that. They realize that.

So far your stats look very good.

It doesn’t matter what your term is. Fall, Summer B, or IA, it doesn’t matter. As the person above said, everyone is evaluated as one entering class. And admissions at UF says all this but people for some odd reason choose not to believe them…it makes no sense but I guess some people are bent on thinking fall is the hardest to get into.

Your major isn’t really considered either. Your scores and gpa look good but remember that UF is super holistic on admissions. You need good extracurriculars, service hours, and a GREAT ESSAY.
