Hi so I was wondering what my chances are of getting into Texas A&M.
unweighted GPA:3.22
weighted GPA: 3.82
SAT: 1210(But I will superscore my tests with my highest Evidenced based reading and writing score being 640 and my highest math being 620)
I am still waiting for my ACT score.
I am not in the top 25% but am in the top 50%.
I also applied to UT Austin, Baylor, Texas Tech, Texas State, SMU, UT SA, UTD, and UNT, would my chances be with these schools?
Have you looked at the SAT Scored for Texas A&M on the many online sources? e.g., about.com
No chance whatsoever. For TAMU you need to be top 10%, up to top 20%.
No chance at UT (you need to be top 7% and even then won’t be guaranteed your first choice major).
Baylor is a reach, as is SMU.
Texas Tech and UTD are high matches, Texas State and UNT are safeties (you may even get honors college - apply if possible).
I’d recommend applying to Texas Lutheran, Austin College, St Edward’s, Trinity University, UHouston (have a shot at Honors), so that you have more matches. Look into Hendrix, University of New Mexico.
Does it make a difference if I mention my SAT score is out of 1600?
We kind of assumed it was out of 1600. If you’d had 1550 it might have mattered but as is, it won’t make a difference.
If you’re not direct admit, the odds of your getting your major or going to the College Station first year are very, very low, even BlinnTeam is no guarantee; don’t chase that and focus on finding affordable colleges that want you: You have god grades and good scores, there should be a school out there that wnts you!
Have you looked at the colleges listed on this thread and run the NPC on them?
