<p>It may be best to call each school's admissions office to get the best and quickest answers to your questions, after checking the web sites as suggested above.</p>
<p>For openers, you want A's. If not that, then A's and B's. And so on. The worse they are, the harder it will be for the rest of your application to make a compelling case for admission.</p>
<p>I know that's sort of intuitive, but it's really just that simple. If your grades are excellent, that HELPS...but it's not the only thing that matters. If your grades are miserable, you could very well be doomed. In between that, it's a matter of taking a look at the full application package and balancing it with the story that the grades reveal. If you get high grades in some courses and only mediocre grades in some electives, I wouldn't lose any sleep. There's really no pat answer to your question. Sorry. Just understand that they all have lots of straight A students applying. If you're not in the lead pack with grades, you should impress them with the other elements of your application.</p>
