Question, alot of times schools say that you have to reach certain academic requirments to get into a certain program (GPA, SATs, Class Rank Percentile etc...)

My question is, do some schools make acceptions or do you ABSOLUTELY have to meet those requirments?

Many schools make exceptions when it is to their advantage to do so, often to fulfill goals in sports recruitment, geographic or ethnic diversity, gender balance, etc. If a person is outstanding in one area, the schools are likely to cut them some slack. Public places are known for sticking to statistics more than private schools since they are accountable to the taxpayers.
