Admission Results - 2015 Fall Transfer

The purpose of this thread is to get information of those admitted or not admitted into Rutgers for the Fall semester.

Include the school you’re transferring from, Rutgers school you applied to, GPA, and any other relevant information.

This is a good thread, I hope it gets some posts. People are always asking about transfer chances.

@rualum Thanks, I’ve seen the one for high school seniors but not one for transfer students. Hoping it’ll help get a general idea of what they’re looking for.

Accepted to SAS and Rutgers NB RBS! Was incredibly excited!

At the end of Spring I will have 70 credits with 3.85 GPA without associates

@ReallyWorried5 Congratulations!

Unfortunately my results differ. Not admitted with 41 credits and a 3.16 GPA from MCC.

I wasn’t admitted this past spring either with 31 credits and a 3.02. Last year I had a 2.49 and have been getting nothing but A’s and B’s since, knowing they also look at grade trends.

I was accepted to SMLR (school of management) with a 3.25 gpa, and at the end of this spring I will have 56 credits! However, I haven’t heard back from SAS yet.

I forgot to mention in my previous post that SAS and RBS were the schools I applied to.

@jokerelite @Bigfin @reallyworried5 How long after you applied did it take you guys to hear back?

@jman14 Originally I applied for the Spring 2015 semester but wasn’t admitted. So I had the option of rolling my application for the Fall. I resubmitted it sometime in late October and heard back on February 20th.

@jman14 I applied in January, and I got the email saying that I was accepted on February 21st.

I got into Rutgers Business School, both New Brunswick and Newark. So far I got 58 credits with a 3.91 GPA. I am working on my other 12 credits now, and will get associate degree at end of this semester.

For those who did not receive feedback from Rutgers, please give it a few days. I heard that undergraduate admission department will deliver all final decision on 1 March.

I got in Rutgers NB SAS and SEBS for fall 2015.
I have an associates from SCCC (70 something credits) with a 3.81 and am part of PTK. I also submitted the recommended essay. I didn’t submit my SAT scores and my high school gpa is a 2.1 with no extra curriculars. Hope this helps! I hope I hear about a scholarship soon. If anyone is offered one of the transfer scholarship please post with your stats and date of notice!!!

Posting on behalf of a friend, they were accepted into SAS with a 3.85 GPA and are receiving their Associates this semester from MCC.

Hey guys I was wondering if you could chance me for SAS really quick. I go to CCm have a 3.1 applying as a history major. I only have 16 credits when I applied. I am getting super nervous SAT 1800 and hs gpa 2.3. Thanks guys.

Update, I was accepted to SAS and denied from Business with those stats.

I submitted my application to Rutgers. Am still waiting on them. I go to MCC, i have a gpa of 3.52. All my grades are As and Bs.I applied to Edward bloustein school of public planning am scared that. I might be denied an entry.pls can someone tell me if i have a chance.

Hey guys I was accepted to SAS for economics, but denied from the business school with a 3.6 gpa. I am a freshmen at NJIT. I have not accepted enrollment into the sas yet because I am not sure about economics as my major. What I want to do is to transfer into the business school for my junior year if I go to Rutgers sas next year. I have already completed 3 out of the 6 pre requisite courses for the business school at NJIT. Would I be able to do the other 3 courses next year and be able to transfer in to the business school and declare my major and be able to graduate on time? What would be the gpa to have to get into the business school with no problems?

Thanks in advance!

Applied, still waiting for my decision.
Applied with a 3.1 gpa from UW-Seattle, 44 credits plus 17 credits being done now.
1910 Sat scoree. Main hope is SAS

Did anyone here apply to SEBS?
