Clemson is my first choice school, so I am going to do everything I can to get off that waitlist! Needless to say, I was devastated when the mail arrived yesterday. If you guys aren’t interested in going, please let Clemson know ASAP so I can have a chance!

Was accepted early to GA Tech for Industrial Engineering but wants to go OOS. Clemson is top choice so it looks like he will be TigerBound and we will be poor.
Just when D graduated college in December. Oh well, even a short break from tuition payments is better than none . :)

It is located in the actual letter itself. I believe in the second paragraph, first line (don’t have the letter in front of me, but I know that’s where mine was).

I kind of don’t get how the waitlist works. It says that if I accept being on the waitlist, I will not get a decision back until late May. Many schools say that you have accept or deny admission by May 1st. So would that mean that I cannot accept admission to any other school if I am set on Clemson? What happens if I stay on the waitlist and still get denied? I will be screwed in the Fall, right?

other schools do the same thing with their wait-list policy. They wait until all deposits have been paid on May 1st and then they see how many wait-list applicants they can take. You’re going to have to pay a deposit somewhere else before hearing from Clemson if you so choose to be on the wait-list

Just some info from the NSP weekend that D and I attended this weekend:

16,300 applications as of Sat. 2/20 - with a projected 700 more by this week.

Clemson president said in speech that Clemson will not be expanding total student body number above 17,000, so freshman class may not be bigger this year, perhaps smaller.
