Do you think they figured out this glitch in their admission process and are now being more careful about uploading it?

on a different forum someone was saying that they don’t finalize your transcript before you pay your deposit because it would be too time consuming, something like that.

and they still haven’t said a thing regarding admissions… i have had a pit in my stomach since Wednesday.

Nothing in the mail from UW today. Guess maybe Monday?

Nothing from UW for me either. I live just outside of Seattle.

^ ditto (10 char.)

Seriously, why do we have to wait for snail mail? What decade is this? Why can’t they just post decisions online like EVERYBODY else? And I heard that 3/15 was the day they were going to mail the envelopes, so the earliest anyone might hear would be tomorrow, I guess. For me, out of state, who knows? :/

yeah how does saturday mailing work?

International Freshman Applicant. Still no news Been waiting all day :(

Suburb of Seattle here. Nothing in the mail.

Read this on a friend’s status on Facebook. Not sure where she got it, but anyways:

Subject: [hsforum] UW decision letters are on their way

Dear Colleagues,

The University of Washington (Seattle campus) has started to mail decision letters, and many of your students will receive their letters throughout next week (the week starting March 18th).

I don’t think you will notice substantially different decisions this year. As has become the norm, we had to make difficult decisions on the applications of some accomplished students. I am sure some of you will be encouraging temporarily disappointed kids.

Perhaps the biggest difference this year is that the number of waitlist invitations is considerably smaller than last year. I do not see this as a negative thing at all, but it will make some of the ‘up front’ decisions seem a bit more abrupt. Additionally, our smaller waitlists will better serve those students on them (assuming we go to the waitlists this year).

Notice that I refer to ‘waitlists’. We will have a waitlist for international students again this year. Additionally, the international students residing outside of the U.S. will receive notice of their admission status via email later next week.

A couple of links which may prove handy to you and your students:

So, obviously it’s an email, but I didn’t receive it.

Live 30 mins away from UW Seattle and no decision in the mail today. Most likely next week???

@sparklyhearts - That email sounds like it was directed to High School Counselors and not applicants.

Sounds like Monday is the day to start checking our mail boxes. Good luck to all!

so acceptance rate is around 60% this year?

Two acceptance letters for class of 2017 reached Tacoma today!

^cardwriter…I assume that since you posted on this thread that the letters are from UW-Seattle not UW-Tacoma, correct? Makes me excited, and now nervous, to get my daily mail :)

Yes, the letters were from UW-Seattle. Best of luck, all.

Haha, so nervous. I’m in Eastern WA though so if I get a letter it’ll probably be on Monday or later.

I got my acceptance letter just now!! :)
