So who ended up going to Yale?

nobody...?

what is a "likely letter"

dunno...i d love to know too.

likely letters are sent to recruited athletes. There are no letters of intent signed in the Ivy League, but an athlete's stats are given to admissions, and they send the athlete a letter saying they are "likely" to be admitted if they submit a full application. That way the athlete can verbally commit to the Ivy League school and turn down other DI athletic offers.

Likely letters may also be sent out to non-athletes as well.

how do u get a likely letter? are you telling me athletes don't even need to apply?

...and what kind of non athletes get these letters?

anyone who can shed some light on this?

hmmm...nobody knows?

love to find out more.......?

i don't know if yale is part of the questbridge program, but I believe they found out their college decisions as early as last week.

what is the questbridge program? is that like early decision?

the questbridge program is a scholarship if i'm not mistaken

it's a full scholarship program given to low-income students. a good number of ivy league and top tier schools are a part of it.

My next post will be in the Yale early action results thread, for the (hopefully) lucky 1000th post. No matter what, I will be a senior member of CC!
