Admission revoked?

What are the chances of being rEvoked. I was accepted for fall, paid everything so far, and am doing preview in June. My grades now, however, have dropped steadily. I have had c's last semester, and this semester I am looking at all A's and B's with the possibilty of 2 D's in AP classes. Chances are that worst case scenario it will be 1 D and 1 C, and best case is 2 C's. My guidance conselors and many other people have told me not to worry about C's at all, as long as it's not straight C's, but what if I get a D? I would hate to have worked hard for 4 years, only to have it taken away because of 1 semester! Anyway, if you have any information please help. I don't want to Just call the admission department warning them of my bad grades. Anyway, thanks.

Seniorites hmm, 1yr of JC and transfer no big deal

Being realistic, I don’t think you are going to be revoked. I know you are looking for an answer on these forums, but truly the only way you can be sure is by calling them- if you’re even that worried.

On other note, has anyone ever told you “it’s not about how you start but its how you finish”? It’s kinda sad that you are even getting D’s in high school. it’s not challenging at all.

I doubt you will get rescinded. I knew a guy once who got an F in AP English and still matriculated.

I dual-enrolled my senior year of high school, and the first semester received an F in biology lab from my local community college. It didn’t affect my admission to UF. Good luck!

Anymore help?

im in a situation where my grades are fine, but after the first semester, in which I was taking 4 APs i dropped AP computer science as it would negatively effect my GPA in the second semester, leaving me with 3 APs. Would dropping this one class, while maintaining satisfactory grades mean anything? I let UF know (email) and they didnt get back to me.

As long as you notified them you should be okay.

I did, but even if I didnt would a state university rescind for dropping the second semester or one AP course, even if I had 3 left on the schedule?

It’s hard to say. Many times for state schools, you’re evaluated based on grades, courses, and test scores (since unlike almost all private universities, many do not ask for supplemental essays) not notifying the college of a dropped course is like lying about a grade or test score since that is what many are evaluating you on. Dropping the course won’t be what gets a person rescinded- not telling the college or university is. All colleges are different, so if there was a different school that you didn’t tell, it doesn’t mean they’ll rescind you necessarily, but they do technically have the right to if they believe they have reason to.

I sent them an email and they never got back to me, so idk if they got it or what, but i did everything i could to get through and let them know

They’re office of admissions is probably really busy (especially now as they’re probably dealing with waitlists and enrolling freshman and transfers). If you sent them an email, I think you should be fine. It would be completely different if you had just never sent them an email at all

Out of the thousands and thousands of applications…
they probably don’t care and won’t do anything about it. Call if you’re worried, but in my experience with the bureaucracy, they just have too many people and you’re a number…that they could care less about. This is good and bad. Good in your case, though.
But D’s in highschool are not a great sign for things to come for your first year. Pick it up, man.

@rubberducky, i sent it a few months ago, and i dont have proof of the actual email i sent so if they didnt get it idk if theyll believe i sent it, but I for sure did, with my guidance counselor

am I in good shape here and just pointlessly worrying?

I think you will be fine even with the consequence of laziness.

I finished my first exam and I got a C in that class, so it only leaves one class with the possibility of a D. These are my worst case scenario grades:

Hon Econ- B
AP Stats- C
AP Bio- D (possibly C)
AP Psych- B
Ap English- B
Spanish 4- A
Journalism 4- A

So how do I look?

The D could be problematic but you are likely OK. Two D’s would likely have been a deal breaker.

That’s what I’ve figured and been hoping for, but I’m still trying hard on the exam monday to get the C just to be safe. I’ve heard of people who have had an F and were still admitted, so hopefully I’m safe. My mom just gets me worried about it, but thanks.

Just in case anyone was curious, I ended up with Cs in both of the classes, so I think I’ll be ok. But thanks for everyones help.
