Admission Revoked

I recently decided on a college and have already paid my deposit. However, I just found out I received an In School Suspension for skipping a class. Is it possible for me to get my admission revoked or is it very unlikely?

Thanks

Skipping a single class in high school is not a big deal. It is highly unlikely that your college will revoke the admittance, as long as your grades and other aspects of your life are up to snuff.

Talk to your guidance counselor to see if your suspension will be reported to the school or noted on your final transcript (which the school will check to see if your grades were maintained). For such a small infraction, I wouldn’t think so, but always best to check.

I asked them and they said the only thing that colleges need are the transcripts and that it won’t be reported. Should I be all set?

Yes - I think most high schools only report serious infractions such as academic dishonesty, bullying/hazing, etc.

Try not to skip school anymore. Just a few more months and you will be out.

How you view the college: dreamy place of 4 years of fun and learning

How the college views you and your parents: source of 4/5 years of tuition

They aren’t going to revoke you.
