Admission status question, PLEASE !

Hi-
This is the same message that has been on a classmates’ USF application status page ever since she applied back in September 21 for summer. No change. Anyone else ? Her stats, 3.1 SAT 1710 ? She e-mailed admissions and they said that they are still reviewing. Any hope for her ? ---------

Thank you for applying for admission to the University of South Florida. We have not reached our final decision regarding your admission candidacy.

On your application for admission you designated your home campus to be: Tampa.

For the purposes of calculating your fees and tuition our office has determined that your 1. residency status is: Florida Resident.

Admissions correspondence will be sent via U.S. postal mail to your permanent address. Electronic communications will be sent to your Admissions Email Address listed on OASIS. If an Admissions Email Address is not listed, email will be sent to your designated Financial Aid email address. If a Financial Aid email address is not designated, your USF email address will be used. Currently, we have your Admissions Email Address listed as: xxxxxxxxxxxx. To ensure that you receive Admissions correspondence, update your postal and email addresses on OASIS .
Please check the list below to ensure you have submitted all of the required credentials.
Credentials that have been received are highlighted with a green background and display the receipt date.

Continue to use this site to check the status of your application.
If you have applied as a freshman or lower level transfer, you are required to submit an SAT score that includes the essay portion of the test or an ACT score that includes the optional writing score.

My son was just accepted on Friday 12/2 and his app had been in since the end of August.

david-- mine too. since 9/26.

I’m a transfer student, and applied August 31st, and still haven’t heard anything. I called them and they said they have everything they need and would know in a couple of weeks… But that was back in October :frowning: Frustrated.

I sent an email to the admissions officer I was assigned to when I applied. That was Saturday though, so hoping to hear back from her this week.

I got this e-mail today from the admission officer I asked about my daughter’s application. He did not give a straight answer, but I am guessing my daughter has been deferred even if it is not stated on her application status online?

"Many students are being deferred to spring at this time, meaning that we will wait to make a decision once they send us additional test scores (if they are retesting) and updated transcripts showing grades from 1st semester of senior year.

Hope this helps! "

Well Jon, no that doesn’t help. That is not straight-forward at ALL lol. I would not take that as her being deferred, I doubt he checked her file.

I know… what the heck. It is so frustrating. they encourage you to call or e-mail about your application and they sound like robots giving you answers that dont mean anything.
