Did anyone’s Portal ever say, “Thank you for applying for EARLY DECISION” in their Application Status page?

I did not get a “denial” but the “early decision” wording has been taken off my portal. That means pushed to regular decison. aaarrrgggghhhhh

socalsr: didn’t you say that was only a theory?

“Did anyone’s Portal ever say, “Thank you for applying for EARLY DECISION” in their Application Status page?”

I believe that the message included “EARLY DECISION” until Nov. 30 (the RD deadline). I could be wrong though.

It was a theory until I saw it happen before my very eyes today. This morning my portal did have the words thank you for applying “early decison”, now, it just says “thank you for applying”. So I am thinking my theory is true.

It’s not a theory. It happened to me last year. You should be getting a letter within the next week or two.

Socal70: did you get in RD? Are you at SLO now?

I got in for biochem today

3.97 GPA 29 ACT

Got in for Electrical Engineering
3.88 W GPA ( 9-12) --maybe the fact that from 10-12 my gpa was 4.21 affected it
1390 SAT
33 ACT
7 APs

socalsr, did you is your SAT 1300/1600 or 1300/2400?

My status doesn’t have “Early Decision” on it either… :*(

WooHoo! I received the acceptance notification today.
Computer engineering
4.23 gpa
1810 SAT
26 ACT (33 math, 28 science)
I started my own computer repair business, so I have lots of work experience related to my major.

Yes, I was accepted Early February.

And I am here right now. P.M if you have any questions.

What were your stats, Socal70?

My stats weren’t that good.
Like 3.4 and 27 Act for food science major.
Though, I worked a lot (25hours+, and leadership roles).

Does Cal Poly put more weight on GPA or SAT/ACT? My GPA is actually a LOT higher than my SATs/ACT … :(

Alby12:

So, it sounds like you’ll have *two *kids at Cal Poly if your daughter accepts her admission. :)

They’ll look at your GPA first.
Cal Poly prefers the ACT more than the SAT.

My status does not include “Early Decision,” but I’m still not convinced that means I was deferred (maybe I’m just in denial…)

I applied for Biomedical Engineering: 4.27 UC GPA & 31 ACT.

I’m getting really nervous now…

yumyumyum: sat was 1300/1600

I had hopes of ED but now I am hoping for RD.

2Leashes,

Yup both kids at Cal Poly and my wife and I are also CP grads. Our daughter cant wait to push the accept button when it shows up on her portal.

For those that had their early decision disappear, we know of quite a few kids that did not make ED but were accepted RD. Good luck!

How can we find out for sure if “early decision” going away means you didn’t get in ED for sure? I’m freaking out
