Admission Status

Is there anyway to check your admission status online?

ya there is, go to iub.edu - prospective students - check your admission status - signup for onestart login and you will be able to check the status of your application.

at the prospective students page it might be hard to find the link but its one of the red links with the >>.

btw im not sure if it really works cuz i sent mi app 9/22/05 and when i check the status of mi app. it just says please contact the office of admissions for the status of your application... i ono at least they got mi stuff.

This is what I'm seeing:
Bloomington Undergrad Degree seeking University Division Fall 2006

Then when I click University Division I get "please call admissions to find out your admission status."

I would call to make certain they have all of the materials they need from you. This school is rolling admission and if they are awaiting some piece of info you are going to get behind a big backlog of applicants. Good Luck and get on the phone ..... soon.

lol ya i checked mi onestart account too and it says contact admissions office i was worried biy i checked mi own email and found out i was accepted. i tink they update their onestart thing a little late but if you do get accepted, check ur personal email, it says like congratulations from indiana unviersity from Iub.edu and tells you o ya u got accepted, wait for your official package approx. 3 weeks blah blah blah. if ur worried they dont hav rur stuf call em and they tell u if they got it allor not gd luk kinglin

They are taking way too long.

They got my transcript 3 weeks ago, and are just now entering in the data on the transcript to the system.

Then they said from then, it was going to be another 4-6 weeks. So I shouldn't have a decision until late November.

*** tat is weird, for me i applied on 9/22-9/23 and i got mi admission decision and stuff 3 and half weeks later? i just go my official package and acceptance letter in the mail last tuesday. weird A2Wolves6 when exactly did you apply? maybe your stuff went into their admission office when they got alot other applicants at the same time which might make them lag alittle?

I sent in my application in August. My school wouldn't accept counselor forms or transcripts until September 12, which is when I sent mine in. Then it took a week or two from that September 12 date for Indiana to receive all my information. So they got all my info about the same time as you, but for some reason, right now they are just starting to review my application.

I've already been accepted because I applied to a special scholarship program. But I think it will take longer for most people, because the flood of applications is starting. And this is sport recruitment season, isn't it? At least all the athletes at my school are going through that. So the admissions people are pretty busy. And they're out promoting the school and stuff. So don't worry...y'all got in.

Yeah, i'm going to a Indiana college information session tomorrow morning... good night!

Did you get the acceptance e-mail before the letter came in the mail?

ya i got the email first then like 2-3 days later mi official acceptance package came in mail

ha funi i got email saying i got in to IUB on 10/17 but the official letter in mi acceptance package is dated 10/10 even though i got the package 10/19 eh weird

LOL!

Is this your first choice college Dcho?

yup hell ya IUB is mi first choice, i want to go so bad wud donate an arm to go! haha jk ya its my first choice. so far everythings goin gud, got in to their honors college and already got accepted to my first preference dorm( collins living learning center) so hopefully in fall 2006 i will be attending, only thing is the money, out of state is like 26500-30000 and im from california so ya i need some money. so far i got the IU faculty award 6000 per year and hopefully i l get some scholarship money from the honors college and il get gud financial aid!!!!! wut bout u A2wolves6 first choice school? did you find out anything about ur admission status?

S got his email today saying he is accepted. YEA- 1 in the bag! He WILL be going to college!

How long did it take to get the e-mail? I applied on the 6th and still haven't gotten anything.

MomofWildChild - CONGRATS! It's real nice to see that someone else is passionate about Indiana like I am. I'm glad he will be attending.

Dcho - I'm really not sure of my first choice school. I've only visited Michigan-AA, and while it's the most prestigious school i'm applying to, and it's the cheapest and closest, i'm not sure it's the school for me.

Congrats on the scholarship! That is a HUGE award! You have no idea how happy I would be if I got what you just received; honors, scholarship, dorm preference, etc.

Still wish OneStart would be updated so that it didn't say I needed to send in my transcript. Their admissions haven't been real good to me. I called them, 2 weeks after my school mailed out my transcript, and they said they still hadn't put it in their computer, and that it'd be another week until they start reviewing my app. Then 4-6 more weeks. Oh well, I still should have a happy thanksgiving!

He probably won't be attending, but if that is what works out, I know he will love it. He is a recruited athlete at a number of other schools, and would have to walk-on at IU. He is applying ED to one of the highly selective academic schools that is recruiting him, and we are very optimistic. Nothing is a lock, though, and Indiana and Georgia are awesome safeties.
I am not exactly sure when his college counseling office sent his app in to IU, but it was in September. Onestart is still not updated for him.

o ic A2wolves6, well i really dont understand why their taking so long on your app. and stuff, you applied pretty much when i applied so you should have gotten ur acceptance when i got mine. besdies u live closer to indiana than me, maybe they review apps. in bunches and yours went to a later bunch which is why yours is taking so long ya but keep us posted. btw umich ann arbor is friggin gud schoool and if you get in to umich kudos to u, u save money and honestly go to a more presitigious and probaly more career opening school than IUb, i mean i really like iub and want to go but you know i shouldnt be biased on which school is more prestigious and higher in rankings :) i was gona apply to umich but decided not to since im out of state (harder dont stand chancei tink) and i dont tink i would like it there. did u apply to umich already dey do rollings to and sending in oct. nov. is the most ideal time i heard, later is bad
