Everybody on this site always say Cal Poly's architecture college is very hard to make. But when I checked the Cal Poly site, it said the average SAT score was 1280 ( CR + M). Now thats relatively low compared to engineering which is 1406. So why does everybody always say architecture is very hard to make at CP. BTW I am applying to architectural engineering which is in college of architecture.

For architectural engineering, I know that the stats are higher for that major. The site only shows the averages for the whole college itself and the reason the averages are lower for the college of architecture is because that includes the other majors like Construction Management, City and Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture where the applicant pool is much smaller. The averages for arce are usually in between the averages for Architecture and Engineering.

The avg GPA fpr the major is 3.9, that rules out a lot of applicants.

As an OOS applicant, would I have a good chance at getting in RD with a 1370/1600 SAT and a 3.9 unweighted GPA?

pretty good.

Silverarch, you know you would be full OOS fees?
