I'm so sorry that your offer was rescinded. I know it seems like your worst nightmare right now, but have faith that you will get over this. Stay strong.

Some options:
DePaul has a rolling admissions program (depending on available spaces). According to the following website, the deadline is August 15.

I'm not sure how hard it would be to transfer to UIUC's engineering program or if that's even possible, but transferring into the Arts & Sciences shouldn't be hard with a ~3.5 (perhaps lower) GPA at either school.

I'm a little concerned by the OPs statements such as "my life is over". I'm hoping to chalk them up to youthful tendencies to talk in extremes, but then again sometimes kids do rash things without thinking thru the consequences and alternatives. If you were rescinded you're not going to UIUC this fall, but it doesn't mean you can't achieve your end goals. You just need to find a different path to get there.

If you are seriously thinking thoughts like life isn't worth living anymore, you have no future, etc. I urge you to talk with your family doctor or call a local suicide prevention hotline. You can and will come out of this, if you give it time.

I thank you guys for all of your support :) One quick question though is it possible to reapply next year or do I have to attend another college for 2 years before I can transfer? Thanks again

Hey guys thanks for your help again. Anyway what I ended up doing is I drove downstate to Champaign which is where UofI is located and I ended up talking to the admissions officer and Dean and bit and after staying here for like 3 days I finally got news that they would reverse their decision and enter me on probation instead :)

Make sure you reward the good faith extended to you by doing your best.

It wouldn't hurt, if, after a good semester or two, you took a transcript of your good college grades back to whomever helped you out here, and said thank you.

Everyone likes a story with a happy ending!
