Then he said if he would breathelize me right now and find bac more than .01 i will go to jail. So i told him I had one beer. He then gave me a ticket for underage drinking. Right now I'm very stressed and dont know what to do because i applied to good colleges and I'm a good student and now this misdemeonor will cost me big time!
This is a good question to take to the Parents forum. Some of them have dealt with just this kind of thing.

Good luck!

Hopefully your parents are aware of the situation. If not, tell them right away. You have to be careful asking advice on a forum like this because every state has different laws. Having said that, you should always be completely honest with law enforcement. If they ask you if you were drinking, answer truthfully. Your parents may want to get an attorney. Often an attorney can speak with the DA and either get your charge thrown out, reduced etc. You said in Ohio it is a misdemeanor. Hopefully, they will see this is your first offense and either throw it out with a stern warning or hit you with a fine or community service. If you have an attorney he can deal directly with the DA (who he probably knows) and he can explain that you are in the process of applying to colleges etc. You normally have a better shot at a more favorable outcome with legal representation. Don’t count on the court kicking this charge. States today take teen drinking very seriously, as they should. Hopefully, you have learned a lesson and I am glad that no one was driving while drinking.

First thing to do is tell your parents, and GET A LAWYER! It’ll make a difference.

Then, take look at the applications you have sent or going to send. Do they ask if you have been arrested? (now) Or does it ask it you have been convicted? (12/30) Normally you don’t report anything until you’ve been convicted because the actual charge may change. Finally, get those applications out. You may not have to say anything about this until you know the outcome. However, once you learn what happens after getting a lawyer and going to court, you’ll also have to report this to the colleges. Ask your GC about the process of doing that.

Always be truthful with law enforcement?
