Is it impossible to petition to get into the direct admission for the Kelley school of business if I have a 3.1 gpa but they require a 3.7 and i have a 30 on the act-they require a 29.

You can try. But they usually petition if you have an extremely score/gpa in one of the categories, like a 4.0 and a 28 or a 33 and a 3.2. I personally don’t know and no one else on this site will be able to give you a direct answer, because we don’t know how the admissions office works.

Maybe they will maybe they won’t, but it never hurts to try. Lots of people don’t get direct admit and turn out fine. No employer is going to ask, were you a direct admit, no one puts it on their resume, nothing really matters until we take major classes which isn’t until after i-core.

what is i-core?

You’ll just have to apply and find out.

I-core is a group of classes you take typically in the Fall of your junior year, and is a prerequisite for most major courses.

You could try to petition if your 3.1 is unweighted and you have taken APs and honors classes.

Anyone hear back on their DA petition to Kelley recently ? Thanks

Apparently my school is weird so it is possible to get a 5.0 but i have a 3.68 right now. Someone told me that that actually counts as being in a 4.0 system. Im in a couple honors classes and probably some AP classes next year. So is that 3.68 out of a 4.0 or 5.0 scale?

They take your weighted GPA. I had a 3.81/5.6 or something and a 3.4 unweighted (out of 4.0) and was a direct admit, so they would look at your 3.68 I think, which would give you a very good chance, especially with honors/AP.

Good luck
