Admission to McCombs

I've heard some people getting accepted into McCombs and other schools the past few days. Congrats to y'all!

But does that mean that if I did not hear from McCombs that i'm not going to get in?

Well it depends on the date you applied and when they look at your application, so it could be later when you hear from them.

They will send you a letter/update on mystatus when they officially decide. Don’t despair, there is still time!

Yeah, I turned in all the required information in August, but added a few things like letters of recommendation in November and then I took the December ACT. So I’ve had new information going in the past couple of months.

Better have a good rank (it’s mostly rank for business)…

Rank is good. I’m ranked #1.

You will probably get in with that rank. Your new December test score may have pushed your aplication behind a bit to be reavluated with those who also applied later which may be a reason for not hearing about McCombs yet.

To answer your question, no, it doesn’t mean that.

However, McCombs is not mostly based on rank anymore. While I think it’s awesome that you’re Val, it does not guarantee a spot in McCombs.

As for the additional December test score pushing you back, I can vouch that this is not necessarily true (I applied in October with October SAT scores and was accepted before the new scores came in).

I’m so impatient.

Same here. I feel like everyone’s finding out. I even applie priority and still don’t know and it makes me nervous? I just wanna know if I got in or not.

Right? It makes me nervous as well. I want in so bad, and the wait makes me feel like i’m not going to get it.

Well they accepted me today whoo hoo! I had only an 1840 SAT score, so scores are obviously not everything.

My friend got accepted 2 days ago. We all applied like a week before the Dec 1st deadline.

Has anybody from out of state been accepted yet?

Yes I have heard a couple of HIGHLY qualified out of staters being accepted.

. My stats are:
1350/1600 on SAT
1970/2400
95.6 GPA (New York Schools/Long Island)
No ranking
tons of work experience/ecs/volunteer

7 APs, Currently taking University English, APCalc, APGov, APChem

As an OOS finance major, what do you think my chances are?
PRAYING i hear back soon

I got accepted over the weekend, WOOOOO! I’m an OOS from Arkansas. I absolutely cannot wait to be at McCombs come next fall.

Oh, and I guess just some super vague stats that I carried with me in my application:

GPA: 4.1
ACT: 33 (36 reading, 35 english, 31 math, 29 science)
Rank: 1 out of 579 (but everyone with over a 4.0 gets this rank at my HS)
8 AP Classes and the rest honors when it’s all said and done.

Congrats Pjbrida! I hope to hear soon.

Accepted into McCombs today!! Super Happy!! OOS from Tennessee.

Accepted yesterday OOS from Miami, FL!!!

Congrats Y’all! It seems like they did a round of OOS acceptances

Yay I got in out of state too!! :)
