Hi, I am going into my Senior year and I hope to get admitted the chemical engineering program at McGill University. According to the prerequisites I need an ACT score higher than a 29 (got a 32), and an A- in certain courses (got it), and an A- average in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Also I have taken 9 AP's and self studied 4 of them. My problem is that I have a B+ average (88%) for my sophomore year because I was in Germany for 6 months as an exchange student. My main question is whether I have a serious change of getting into McGill or not.

AP's
European History - 3
US History - 4
Spanish Language - 4
Language and Composition - 4
Biology - 4
Human Geography - 5 (Self Studied)
US Government - 4 (Self Studied)
Psychology - 4 (Self Studied)
Comp. Government - 4 (Self Studied)

All I can say for now is that you still have a chance. If I’m not mistaken McGill weighs 11th grade higher than 10th grade. Then again German grading is harder than American grading.

You have a very strong chance. That B+ average shouldn’t be a problem if you explain it in an essay (or, even better, if your guidance counselor explains it in his/her rec).

That strategy could work at UMinn or Berkeley but McGill doesn’t ask for essays or for recs unless one is waitlisted (but don’t bank on getting in off the waitlist).

I agree with Catria; you have very good chances for McGill (Low~High match)
As a domestic applicant, I know that McGill only looks at Grade 12 courses/predicted grades for Canadian applicants. I can only assume that the emphasis will be on junior/senior grades.
Note that many Canadian universities will look at marks as a deciding factor in admission, so if possible, I suggest you still try your best for your senior year.
