Admission to the Business School

Does anyone know what happens if you apply for direct freshman admission to the business school and are denied? Do they automatically consider your application for the College of Arts & Sciences or are you just denied admission to IU outright?

You dont really apply for it specifically. If you qualify you get in if not then you just apply during your first year.

Okay - thanks.

Direct admission requirements are on the website. You have to indicate business as a major, so you don't apply to CAS. Major really isn't considered in application, except for direct admission, where you have to indicate what school you want direct admission for.

Also, even if you don't get direct admission status to the Business school, you can still be admitted as a Business major. Then you just have to meet their requirements for later admission to the Business school (about 70% are accepted). Once admitted to IU, you need to complete 26 units, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and have completed at least English Composition, the one-unit Basic Accounting course, either Calculus or Finite Math, and the Intro to Business course to be accepted into the Business school.
