You should post your thread here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/</a>. That board is reserved for chance threads, as its name suggests. The “College Admissions” board is for advice.

This is the list of schools that do not use the SAT or ACT for entrance:
[Optional List | FairTest](ACT/SAT Optional List for Fall 2025 - Fairtest)

you should be good at all except UNC and wake…those are likely reaches

thank you so should i not send sats to wake or should i and by likely reaches you mean possible reaches or just reaches in general and is it worth applying to wake and unc…

Bump chance back idk… Looking for some more feedback then I’ll ****

Last bump nothing… ???

pity bump im guessing people only respond to ivies is this the right section or is this for all schools im new to this forum

what’s your unweighted gpa?

95.1 …

Hmmm. I think it’s interesting because you’re obviously rly smart who just couldnt crack the SAT. I think you’re in everywhere cept Wake and UNC and maybe villanova. I dont think u have too much to worry bout, to be honest.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/737706-omgggg-ivies-other-top-schools-i-chance-back.html</a></p>

I’m really close to UNC and Wake, and my school sends plenty to 'em. UNC will care a lot about SAT since it’s a competitive public school, so definitely aim for better scores. They should dig your scores if they’re as good as you say.

I’m really close to UNC and Wake, and my school sends plenty to 'em. UNC will care a lot about SAT since it’s a competitive public school, so definitely aim for better scores. Just because one person with bad scores got in doesnt guarantee you can, so i suggest you study hard and retake. I don’t think Wake will care as much about scores, but sending won’t help. They should dig your sports if they’re as good as you say.

your ec and grades will really help u
try at least one more time to improve ur SAT and try to get 1900. If u do, u shud be set

With those scores, UNC and Wake are definitely reaches, but hey, apply anyways. Or try and get your scores up.

P.S. Most people care about writing. My dad is the head of his actuary firm (aka he does math all day) and he says the one thing he looks for in someone that applies is that they can write. I’m just saying.

Please and thank you :)

Thank you for chancing me! Here are my thoughts on your schools:

university of pittsburg - low match
university of maryland - match
rutgers - safety
villanova - reach
UNC chapel hill - reach - UNC has become an especially difficult school for out-of-state students. I know students from my home state (Connecticut) who have been admitted at top privates like USC and Villanova and rejected by Chapel Hill. Definitely go ahead and apply, because you’ve got a chance, but it is a big reach.
Providence - match
Wake Forest - low reach/match

Ya I would definately try to get that SAT score up. Just try to get everything at a 650+ you should should b in at most your schools. UNC and Wake would b mid range reaches even then. However, you are in decent shape for the rest. Also try out the ACT, I have a friend who only got a 1900 on the SAT and a 36 on the ACT (ya the ACT is an easier test…).

wait so should i not send my scores to like wake or something cause i heard they probably give you that option so the school has a better reputation of average sats admitted is this true what should i do…

Chancing back!
university of pittsburg: high match
university of maryland: match
rutgers: match
villanova: low reach
UNC chapel hill: Sorry, but unless you improve by retaking the SAT, I think this is a very high reach
Providence: match
Wake Forest: reach

Good luck!

You need to retake your SATs before you start thinking about reaches like UNC, Maryland, and Wake Forest. Otherwise, though, you have a great shot at the rest of ur list, and i’d consider rutgers to be a safety in state.

chance me back.
