Ouch. As a parent, I really feel for you. That seems so harsh–are you sure you want to be at UCB? I’m not sure I would want my kids at a school that is so lock-step. Keep us posted on the outcome. Don’t forget that you’re young and have lots of options in life. You may feel desperate to start school in the fall, but a gap year between high school and college can be full of rewarding opportunities in the long run.
