Is the Division of General Studies the easiest college to get into? For example, is it more easier to get into than ACES or FAA?

Division of General Studies is an advisory group (not a college) for those who are admitted to Arts & Sciences and choose undeclared (or whatever they are calling it now) rather than a specific major on their app. About 30% of all students who apply to A&S and about 30% of all admitted choose undeclared on the app; in other words you essentially have as much chance to be admitted as most others who choose majors in A&S and the middle 50% ranges for class rank/test score are about the same as the college overall. That ACES or FAA may have lower 50% ranges does not necessarily mean it is easier to be admitted. For example, ACES agricultural engineering is actually difficult and has a higher 50% range than other parts of ACES; moreover, ACES is attune to those attempting to come in through the back door with the idea of transfering out to another college and looks for students to admit, through essays and background, that indicate they really intend to stay in ACES.
