Hello everyone,
I am considering to apply for a phd in Virginia Tech in RF Electronics. I am about to graduate from a master's degree in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester with Distinction (75% average (GPA 3.0) in the courses - yes, the distinction is over 70% in the master programs in UK) and my undergraduate studies were in National Technical University of Athens with a GPA 3.232.
Virginia Tech asks for 3.0 in undergraduate and for 3.5 in master degree for direct phd program. What are the probabilities to be accepted? Is it possible to offer me combined MS/Phd program (because it seems to have probabilities to be admitted for that)? I am fresh in searching for phd and don't how american universities operate! Thank you in advance.
