Admission

Hey,
So NotreDame is a ridiculous reach for me (I got a 29 ACT), but i have a ton of extracurriculars and community service. How much is this kind of stuff valued in the application? Do you think I have even the slightest chance?
Thanks.

a 29 will not put you out of the running, it is not a bad ACT score

you may have less of a chance than someone who got a 34, but you can still get in

Do you have any idea how much extracurriculars and volunteer work would help my chances?

I don't think the EC's and volunteer work is going to be what saves you, it is going to have to be GPA, class rank, and course difficulty. Do you have anything going for you hook wise or have minority or legacy status? It is going to be hard to get in with a 29 but it can definately be done if you have some things going for you, but you need the grades for sure!
