Hey, I recently applied to the FSU as a transfer student and I got accepted conditionally. I fulfill all the conditions but I did a mistake of taking one extra English Class in my college to improve my English as I'm not a native speaker. Now I'm facing problem with that English Class and I might need to withdraw from it. So my question is that what will happen if I have a W on my transcript? By the way I got accepted to a limited access program and my overall GPA is 3.1. Will they deny my admission? I'm literally freaking out :(

Conditional Admission means that you’re accepted as long as you meet certain criteria. An example is that anyone that applies to grad school is basically “conditionally accepted” if they apply before they have actually received their Bachelor’s Degree.

As a transfer student, that probably means that you just have to finish your AA before you are allowed to start at FSU. This would be my first guess if you said that you would have your AA before the semester that you applied for (so if you’re starting in the Fall, you’d need your AA this semester; if you applied for Spring, you’d need your AA by the end of Fall, etc.).

As part of your acceptance to a limited access program, you likely just have to have certain pre-reqs completed as part of your acceptance. Depending on the program that might just be certain liberal studies/electives, but it is also probably certain “must have completed” courses that are required to be formally admitted to the program.

Depending on the program, and whether you dropping the English class will impact you getting your AA, the impact that dropping the class will vary. It’s something that you might want to contact your department about and ask, honestly.

Thank you, I talked to an adviser from FSU and she told me that I wouldn’t face any problem withdrawing from that class. Basically exact same thing as you said.
