Admission

(Hopefully) when I am accepted to UC will I see that when I log in to my application checker or is notification strictly through mail only?

We found out online and also received confirmation via snail mail a few days later.

I was looking online today for some hint of when they start notifying EA applicants. Does anyone know? Thanks…

@guyk27 I got mine on Friday

@guyk27‌ I’ve been checking every day because I don’t know when they officially come out!

@mrice1519‌ When did you send in your app? I was pretty late and didn’t submit until November 30th, which is why I think I haven’t heard anything.

@dhuggins I submitted mine on Dec. 1, but I have a lot of friends who applied over a month before the deadline and still haven’t been accepted. I have pretty good credentials, so I think that might be why I was accepted so early. I know a lot of people who applied, and I don’t know anyone else who’s been accepted yet, so I wouldn’t fret about it too much.

Thanks everyone – my son applied around Oct 28 or so. I’m an alum, and he’s got pretty good stats, so I think he’ll be fine. He’s already heard from 5 other schools (MiamiU included) so I thought he might hear soon from UC.

@mrice1519‌ just out of curiosity what are your stats? Also, is UC your first choice?

@dhuggins‌ 32 ACT and I believe that my WGPA was a 4.149 by the end of last year (4.0 UW, we only have 1 APJunior year and 4 for senior year). UC is one of my top choices, but I still need to wait to hear about merit aid. I have a lot of great offers from other schools, and so far I haven’t heard anything in that regard frorm UC yet.

@mrice1519‌ okay interesting. Let me know about merit aid, and if you end up choosing UC! I’m hoping to get merit aid as well, but heard that they don’t let you know about it until later.

@dhuggins‌ yeah, I think usually they notify in february or march, and they used to have a Cincinnatus competition where they invited eligible scholars to come and compete for their scholarships, but I’m not sure if they still do that. Also, I believe that in past years people with my stats only got around $2000-$3000, so I might find myself negotiating my scholarships. I’ve already gotten a couple full tuition offers, so I’m really hoping to get something comparable from UC… you keep me up to date on your stuff too!

Anyone get a decision recently? Waiting on engineering.

Got into electrical engineering Dec 23rd. Applied 11/23. Act 28 3.5 UW 3.8 W.

Congratulations @skulger – I’m a grad of the same program, from sometime last century :-). Very fine program. Saw on the faculty listing there are still a couple of profs there that I knew. Most others, emeritus or gone.

Yes, congrats! I know there was an initial wave of admissions prior to year end, but was curious if anyone has heard since the new year. UC is the last school I am waiting on, as I’ve already received admissions from Purdue, Ohio State, and Miami. I have a 4 gpa, 31 act, 4 years of varsity sports, and several ecs. Very interested in UC, particularly the honors and co-op programs.

@mrice1519‌ From which colleges did you get full tuition offers?

@BDstudent‌ Temple, Miami of Ohio, and I anticipate one from U of Alabama based on what’s listed on their website

I applied EA as undecided. Does it usually take them a long time to go through the undecided applicants does anyone know?

Got accepted this evening!
