My D 19 and I checked her ASURITE portal last night and it says she’s accepted! I was the one freaking out bc I ordered the SAT score from College Board on 8/11/18 and it still hasn’t been delivered yet. I last spoke w/ CB last Wednesday, the rep agreed that the situation is a bit odd and said the scores would be marked high priority and only today did ASU appear in the list of schools that I ordered scores from, and it says awaiting fulfillment. So I recommend you check on that if your portal says they don’t have your SATs yet.
OOS and self-reported. HS counselor hasn’t pushed through the transcripts yet, so it’s a good thing they take the self-reporting.
Congrats to everybody!
@jellybean5 You don’t need the SAT for admission if you satisfy the competency requirements and have either a 3.0 unweighted core GPA OR are in the top 25% of your high school class. But the SAT or ACT score becomes important later for merit scholarships and for some majors. https://admission.asu.edu/freshman/apply#satact
@corinthian definitely looking for merit scholarship at ASU as an OOS!
@jellybean5 I was at an In State College Night at our high school last night, and the ASU rep said that the letters about merit awards start going out in mid-October. I assume that’s the same timetable for OOS.
Thanks @Corinthian!
DS got the good news on Friday.
Good news here as well
Have merit scholarships come out yet? Do you find out if you get a merit scholarship once you are admitted?
We were informed that merit scholarships will be announced in October. The scholarship notifications run on a different timetable from admissions.
@psssthoy that’s consistent with what we heard (see post #23 above).
My daughter was admitted today! Not her first choice but awesome just the same!!
My son received his merit scholarship about a week ago, he applied in late July.
