admission

what should i do to be accepted into ucla. please i really want 2 know. its my dream school.

excluding freshman year, get a 4.2 weighted (8 semesters gapped) so basically getting a 3.8 or 3.9, and getting around a 2100-2200 should just about do it. However, do a handful of exc but if u have a 4.2, 2200 u wont really need them too much

Take APs/IB/honors courses at your high school and maintain a high GPA (3.8++) . Aim for above 700 for each section of the SAT. Do a couple of ECs and excel. Don't be one of those kids with a laundry list of ECs - that's unnecessary and a waste of time. Search for thread titles "decisions" in the UCLA forum for an idea of who gets admitted.

so u r saying they don't count freshmen year. how come?

you still have to list freshman year grades.

they calculate your UC GPA (which is based on your sophomore + junior years).
