Admissions and advice for admissions.

I am currently an engineering student at U of M-Dearborn and will be applying after this (fall) semester to MSU and U of M. after I finish my third semester, and will have 43 credits when I apply. My semesters have gone as follows:
11 credits 1st semester (dropped 2): 2.95 GPA
12 credits 2nd semester: 3.25 GPA
3 credits this past summer, 4.0'd
17 credits 3rd semester: 3.52 GPA

I founded the first a capella group on campus, and am a member of a fraternity.

Cumulative I've got about a 3.34 GPA, I guess I wanted to know what to expect, and if theres really a chance of me being accepted for Electrical engineering at U of M. I imagine I have a pretty good shot at MSU though.

The third semester GPA is based on my current grades before finals, as I expect them to remain approximately the same, if not increase.

I know UM-Flint engineering has a guaranteed transfer program to UM-AA. I don’t know if Dearborn campus has similar program or not. Otherwise, you seems to be in the range for acceptance.

Your GPA is not high enough for an acceptance from Ann Arbor, especially for COE. Try to bring up your GPA and do complete their prerequisite courses, that are mentioned on their website. If not completed then you will definitely be denied. Try to hit a 3.5 atleast.
