Admissions Chances

I recently applied to UF and would like to have an idea of my chances of getting in:

GPA: 3.8 unweighted/5.5 weighted

SAT: CR = 670/ M = 580/ W= 560/ Essay = 8

AP Classes so far:

Human Geography
World History
US History
Spanish Language

AP Classes to take:

English Literature
Psychology
Macroeconomics
US Gov't/Politics
Biology

Community Service hours: 80.5

Extracurricular Activities:
Summer internship in a HTS Chemistry Lab
9 years of piano studies w/ national recognition
Slow pitch softball
President of Spanish Honor Society

Class rank: 10th last time i checked

I think you have a great chance. Consider taking the SAT again and getting your scores up.

I think your piano will get you in.

I would take the SAT one more time though, and try to get your scores up, even if only a little

my son raised his scores the second time he took the SAT, with zero studying.

Second the sat thing, if you already tried it a few times to no avail, you can always try the act. Either way you look like a good candidate. Curious, what is your gpa scale?

Honestly, I just posted my weighted GPA from my district report card. Can someone please guide me on how to convert it to a UF GPA? its apparently caused much confusion in another one of my posts…

Got it. 4.33 UF GPA

Hello-
Confused-
Question-
How can you go from a 3.8 unweighed to
5.5 weighed with only four additional AP
courses under your belt ?
Math was never my strong point, but I just can’t figure this one out ?
Thanks

I’m just reporting what my report card says lol. I recalculated my UF GPA above and it’s 4.33.

U have a very good chance but your SAT is still well below average. Get that up ASAP just incase u have to appeal… but everything else shud get u in… UF is really picky about SAT…
