I’m currently a sophomore at a private prep school in Chicago, and I’m hoping to go American for the Communication, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government interdisciplinary major.
My GPA is a little on the low side (3.3-3.5 range), but my school has a very tough grading scale, and I’m shooting to get my ACT in the 30-34 range and taking prep classes. I’m not sure if this matters, but my History and English grades have always been high, since that’s what my hopeful major involves the most. I’ll have a few AP/Honor’s credits. I’m a white female from an upper-middle class family, and a 2nd generation college student. I’ll be in a leadership position in my school’s very successful MUN team, have extensive community service, and am very politically active and have volunteered on multiple campaigns, and hope to do more in the future.
Is there anything I should be doing now to prep for admissions/ how as an applicant do I look now? I really love AU, and it’s my #1 choice. I intend on applying early, and will tour.
