Admissions come out 03/22/10?

Just got an email:

Greetings, UCSB Applicant:

Thank you again for submitting your application to the University of California, Santa Barbara for fall quarter, 2010.

Since December, we have been reading and evaluating more than 59,000 freshman and transfer applications to UCSB. On Monday, March 22 at 4 p.m., we will post freshman admission decisions and some transfer admission decisions on our website - www.admissions.ucsb.edu/applicant. Transfer decisions will continue to be updated through May 1st as applications are evaluated.

Yup, i just got that too. I guess that means all freshman decisions will be available on the 22nd :D

Is this considered late compared to other years?

Ya, I always thought that they came out on the 16th :frowning: I really hope that’s just an estimate or something ha

Well the bright side is that at least we have a date to expect rather than a vague range. I really hated how all the UCs just say mid-March. Well guys only 12 more days; good luck to you all!

4 p.m. is right after school. good or bad? lol

If we attend the chancellor’s reception are we notified earlier than this date?

The website to log in is downright now, and it says it will be until 4 pm tomorrow…

wonder if that means anything notification-wise? maybe we’ll find out sooner?

@mahana808: yes, if you got invited to the chancellor’s reception, you will be told you are admitted. it isn’t necessary that you attend though, you’ll be accepted regardless.
