Hi , I am applying to Cockrell school of engineering from OOS and I am unfamiliar with rolling admissions. How much of a disadvantage am I at if my application was not completed until Feb 10th and I applied for a competitive major (Petroleum Engineering). I have a 4.0, excellent ECs related to major, and great recommendation letters. Is there a possibility certain majors are already filled up and I just applied for nothing? Should I worry? I have searched far and wide on the forums and did not find any transfers mentioning they have been accepted already. Are the transfer decisions made after March 1st?? Also, my UT EID account says that they are still waiting for my transcript even though I sent it about 14 days ago. Is it possible it could be reviewed and I not know about it?Thanks in advance

you have nothing to worry about, especially if you have over 30 hours RIGHT NOW. the only people at a slight disadvantage are those that have less than 30 hours by march 1st. when you turn in your application is not as important as how good your grades are. the higher your GPA, the better your chances of admission and the quicker you will receive a decision. but you shouldn’t expect an admission offer before late april. hope that helps!

Is it normal for transcripts to take so long to process?
