Admissions contacts

I’ve used the form and chat on their site, but I couldn’t reach anybody yet. I also emailed my regional counselor, but I haven’t gotten a response yet. Does anyone know who can I contact in admissions that is available at this time?

Did you try e-mailing the honors college with specific questions? Or perhaps the adviser to the department in which you may want to major? They may also be able to help you.

if you haven’t done so already, you can try calling admissions at 1-800-933-BAMA (2262). While UA is generally very quick at responding to e-mails, occasionally a response might be delayed. momreads’s advice is great if your question is of an academic nature that would be better answered by somebody in honors or your major college/department.

What is your question?

We can better direct you to the right person to ask…

Jami Gates in honors could probably either answer your question(s) or direct you to the right person, too.

admissions chat finally worked for me…thank you guys

Well, what did they tell you? When will the scholarship ap be fixed? When can you expect a decision, etc, etc.
Thank you

The “university scholarships” will not change. They’ve already changed the one that will change (NH scholarship).

They may not give you a firm date of when a decision will be made since the person who answers the phone might not have access to your file or stats.

However, last year those who applied in July found out they were accepted within a few weeks. When one of my kids applied in August, we found out within a month.

Usually, your area rep can find out more info and even help move things along.

I don’t know this for a fact, but I think Bama has application-processing people who are off in the summer, but then start working in August/Sept to begin processing applications. So, right now they are low on staff.

Remember, the school cannot accept you if your school hasn’t yet sent transcripts. So, even if you apply now, if your school drags its feet to send transcripts, that delays things.

lucky. you guys have your school offices open in the summer. my school closes in late june and doesn’t open again until august. no transcript sending or anything :(

i hate budget cuts…i wish CA were like '03 again
